Fairgrounds Committees
About the Committees
The Benton County Fair Board has five standing committees; Executive, Long Range Planning, Facilities, Fair and Business Development. With the exception of the Executive Committee, all have representatives from the community as well as Fair Board members. The Committees forward recommendations to the Board after addressing the issues of focus. Each year, the Committees file Work Plans that guide their course of action.
Long Range Planning -
At the December 2007 Fair Board meeting, the LRP Committee was disbanded; members will be asked to join another Fairgrounds Fair Board Committee
Facilities - Dave Schudel Chair; Brooks Cavin III, Fair Board, Community Members: Mark Gourley, Mark Balzer, Bill York, Rick Wells, Scott Culver, Public Works Voting Member-Chris Bielenberg and Non-Voting Staff members Scott Nolan and Mark Mathews, and Fair Manger Lonny Wunder
Fair -This Committee was changed from a Fair Board Committee to an advisory committee at the January 22, 2009 Fair Board meeting. The Fair Manager chairs this committee and Fair Board representation remains.
