Benton County Fairgrounds Master Plan

 

Formation of a Master Plan, with emphasis on site and facility improvements that support non-fair events and business activities, was commissioned by the Benton County Fairgrounds' Board of Directors on July 21, 2005. The purpose is to establish direction regarding disposition of existing facilities and the suitability, location and scope of modified or new facilities that will improve event production, service capacity and economic performance of the Benton County Fairgrounds.

The Master Plan was organized by Landerman-Moore Associates, with assistance from Robert Carlson, and under the direction of the Long-Range Planning Committee with participation of various interest groups including Benton County, the City of Corvallis, Oregon State University and representatives of civic groups, service organizations and individuals of interest. Other communities involved in the planning process, or served by the Benton County Fairgrounds include Albany, Monroe, Philomath, Adair Village, Alsea, Kings Valley, Blodgett, Summit and those residing in rurual areas of Benton County.
